Lapa Lange: Ready for business
Lapa Lange is located 35 km along the M29 to Gochas and on the edge of the Kalahari. It has sleeping facilities for 21 guests by way of en-suite self-catering units and en-suite rooms based on dinner/bed/breakfast. Our restaurant is operating fully and specialing on Namibian country style cuisine. However we are also geared to serve a la carte where it's required. We, however would rather bring the traditional camp fire atmosphere, potjies and lapa barbeques back to tourists which to our understanding are much lacking in Namibia. We are therefor ready to serve D/B/B and overnight facilities to our customers. Our operations and hospitality are based on Namibian gemutlichkeit and as we also call it here: The Namibian big 8: Beer, braaivleis, biltong, boeretroos (coffee), big fires, black diamond (Karakul), boere-music and beautiful black ladies in traditional attire. We also have a very nice rockpool to cool against the heat!
There is camping-facilities on the lawn or around the waterhole!
Other activities which we do offer for our clients include a walk to the waterhole next to the units which include 20 different species on 1500 ha land. So our game viewing is guaranteed. We also offer sundowner trips and dune rides on the red Kalahari dunes. Lapa Lange is nature friendly and our aim is to bring people closer to nature and it's wildlife
Our future operations will include a self-catering tented camp, a Nama/Damara and San Bushmen traditional villages and a cultural centre displaying all ethnical groups of Namibia. Lapa Lange therefor will offer a cultural learning offering to our clients. Tourists can buy all the handmade products of the Nama and San people.
